About Euro Concrete Services

Euro Concrete Services was founded in 2010 by Sean O'Neill, a qualified mechanical engineer and passionate farmer.

You can see the engineer in the cutting work. A structural opening through a reinforced slab or a load-bearing wall gets surveyed and propped before a saw goes near it.

The farming hasn't gone anywhere either. The crews build sheds, slatted units and shed bases for farmers around West Cork, alongside the cutting and coring they do on construction sites across the county.

In 2026 the company added concrete pumping: a Sany boom pump that goes out with its operator to pours across Cork and Kerry.

The people

Over 30 people work for Euro Concrete across County Cork.

Over ten of the crews are on concrete cutting, and each one is set up for its own kind of work: core drilling, wall sawing, floor sawing, wire sawing, robotic demolition or temporary propping. That way the crew that turns up has the machine, the blades and the experience for the job in front of it.

The building work has dedicated crews of its own, for farm buildings, extensions, renovations and self build homes in West Cork.

The concrete pump goes out with its own operator, who sets up the truck and runs the boom on the pour.

How it started

  1. 2010: wall chasing

Sean started Euro Concrete chasing walls, cutting channels in block and concrete for cables and pipes.

  2. Cutting and coring

From there the work moved into the heavier cutting. Core drills, track-mounted wall saws, floor saws and wire saws, remote-controlled demolition machines, and temporary propping for cuts through load-bearing walls and slabs.

  3. Floors, plant hire and building

Floor grinding and polishing, plant hire and building work in West Cork were added along the way.

  4. 2026: concrete pumping

A Sany boom pump joined the fleet, sent out with its own operator. It places concrete over houses, walls and soft ground for slabs, foundations, tanks, piers and jetties, across Cork and into Kerry.

Two bases in County Cork

Skibbereen

The home base, in West Cork. The building work runs from here: farm buildings, shed bases, shed and garage extensions, house extensions and self build homes, and the shuttering for them. That work stays within reach of Skibbereen.

Cork city

Some of the machinery is kept in Cork city, for jobs in the city, around the harbour, and out into East and North Cork.

Cutting, coring, floors and plant hire go anywhere in County Cork, from Youghal and Mitchelstown to Charleville, Bantry and Schull.

Concrete pumping covers the whole county too, and goes into Kerry as far as Tralee, Killarney, Killorglin and Kenmare. All other work stays inside County Cork.

How a job goes

It starts with a phone call. Ring Sean on 086 881 9848 and he'll ask where the job is, what the material is, and the size of the opening, the floor or the build.

Some jobs are easier to show than to explain. Photos or a drawing sent on WhatsApp to the same number, or by email to sean@euroconcrete.ie, help Sean price it.

On site, diamond sawing and coring are wet cutting, so the water and the slurry are dealt with as part of the job. Where a cut goes through a load-bearing wall or slab, we survey it first and agree the temporary propping with your engineer before anything is cut.

Hire machines are delivered to site and collected at the end. A driver can come with the machine, at extra cost.

For concrete pumping, Sean will ask where the site is, roughly how many cubic metres, and how far the pour is from where the truck can stand. We coordinate with your concrete supplier, or recommend one based on your job and location.

What the crews do

The phone calls come from site managers and main contractors, from farmers, and from people building or extending their own home.

Concrete Cutting

Structural openings cut in reinforced concrete, block and stone: doorways, windows, stair openings, and penetrations for pipe, duct and services.

Concrete Floor Polishing

Concrete floors ground and polished as the finished floor, or prepared for the floor going on top.

Plant Hire

Diggers, straight and rotary loadalls, cherry pickers, scissor lifts and generators.

Construction

Insurance and training

Euro Concrete carries employer's liability and public liability insurance. Our crew holds SOLAS Safe Pass cards and is trained in:

  • Abrasive Wheels
  • MEWP operation
  • Confined Space Entry
  • Working at Height

The crews also hold other certifications, specific to the jobs each one does.

Quick service time and easy communication. Sean and his team provide quality workmanship. Would recommend!
